What does NOT constitute a “good” travel story?

Despite what you might be seeing with this prompt, “good” isn’t synonymous with “lackluster”.
Most people settle for a boring answer because they believe as long as they’re traveling, matches will be drawn in.
→ Nothing interesting happened.
So, you went to Paris, checked in to a hotel, and went sightseeing…cute as it may be, that’s not really a thrilling travel story.
There must be an event that took place—something out of place and unusual that your matches won’t see coming!
→ You got sick.
I see a lot of answers claiming them getting sick is the most exciting travel story they got, which is a huge mistake because many get travel sickness.
Unless whatever you picked up there caused you to climb up a building and bang on your chest, I say hard pass.
→ You’re wanted for criminal charges.
Not to point any fingers, but it’s mostly men who resort to this approach because they think it makes them look macho.
Be it true or not, why on Earth would you think breaking the law is attractive?!
→ You’re flaunting your wealth.
Sorry, rich people, but taking a private jet and staying at the most expensive places does not make a travel story good! You have to make it interesting.
Always ask your matches for their experiences too!
If your answer is amazing enough, matches will swipe right and talk, in which case it’s very important for you to reciprocate.
You have to ask them about their experiences on x place too by saying something like the following:
- – “What about you? What’s your best travel story?”
- – “Have you ever been to [the place of your answer]? What did you think?”
- – “Are you thinking of going to [x place] too? I can give you tips if you’d like!”
